(1997 b.) is a visual artist working mainly with painting and objects. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, receiving a master’s degree with distinction, and from Universitat Politècnica de València (Facultat de Belles Arts de Sant Carles).
He has presented his work in solo exhibitions at the Centre for Contemporary Art Kronika in Bytom, the BWA Contemporary Art Gallery in Katowice, as well as in independent spaces such as Hidden Gallery in Prague. He has taken part in group exhibitions, among others at the Musée royal de Mariemont in Belgium, the Pola Magnetyczne Gallery in Warsaw, and the Utazu Art Award Biennale in Japan.
In his practice, he examines traces of processes of disappearance and transformation, relating them to memory, landscape, and the relationships between matter, time, and environment. He uses motifs connected with geology, post industrial landscapes, natural history, and family experience.
A particular focus in his practice is coal, a cultural figure linked to the history of Upper Silesia. The artist analyses its meanings as a residue of past life, an industrial raw material, a source of energy, and a carrier of memory.
In painting, he refers to the traditions of landscape and still life, using their historical conventions to examine processes of disappearance, displacement, and transformation. Recurring motifs of organic forms and endangered species relate to tensions between persistence and loss. His works function as attempts to read traces left by humans, organisms, and matter across different scales of time.
